This deck is unusual but has some great potential. The ‘Mind-Attacks’ cannot be blocked, dodged or defended in the usual manner but instead have a unique mechanic that allows you and the recipient to adjust the chance of a successful outcome by discarding cards. You are most likely going to love or hate this. The mind attacks themselves vary in function and outcome but all are pretty good and most of them you can discard cards for to make them really pack a wallop! Discarding cards to not only increase a mind-attacks success, but also to make the attack stronger can really deplete your hand. Thats where ‘Psychic Compensation’ special ability comes into play. Couple that with cards like ‘Eidetic Memory’ and ‘Psychic Prediction’ and you can keep your hand full of attacks and defenses. To make up for the unpredictability of mind-attacks, the psychokinetic stuff is very solid. Good attacks, good defenses and a few other tricks thrown in for good measure. This deck has a unique premise that I find very intriguing but the mind-attack mechanic might be a turn-off to some. If that’s the case, you could always deckbuild and use only psychokinetic cards. I would rate this as an INTERMEDIATE deck that is, depending on your feelings on how mind-attacks work, GOOD to GREAT.
